What is beat the chaser?

To add a little fun and competition to the fun run we have created ‘Beat the Chaser’. The whistle will blow and everyone will start the 2 Mile race. 7 minutes later, our chaser will begin his race to the finish. Cross over the finish line before The Chaser catches up to you and you will be entered into the special raffle and have a chance to win ‘the ultimate prize’

Find out what the chaser is on our facebook page… www.facebook.com/pages/PAWS-2-mile-chase

8-person teams 10-ish km each

Register now at: http://www.caymanactive.com/ironshore

The inaugural running of this event is entirely social and support will be limited for this year. All runners will need to provide their own hydration and fuelling.

Solo runners will have the assistance of vehicle support. Teams (4 or 8 team members) will be self-sufficient and will need to provide their own transport, hydration and fuelling. Handover markers are on the map and will be marked on the road.

This is an ideal training event for teams preparing for the Off The Beaten Track event.

Off the Beaten Track

Off The Beaten Track returns for its 5th year on Sunday, February 23rd 2014.

Registration is now open at: http://www.caymanactive.com/otbt

Off The Beaten Track (OTBT) is a one-of-a-kind, ultra-marathon designed to emulate the annual Marathon des Sables, a 156 mile run over six days across the hot sands of Morocco. The event offers two challenges: one option provides an epic challenge to the seasoned individual runner to tackle this 50 kilometer cross country course in the sizzling sun of Cayman, while the second option consists of a relay team of 6, collectively running the distance in six stages. The complex course crosses the beaches, unseen back roads, uncharted bush and more!

The proceeds raised from Off the Beaten Track 2014 will be donated to local charity, Meals On Wheels – Cayman and the international charity, Facing Africa.
