Cayman: UPDATE: Missing Teens Located

UPDATE (3:45PM, 1 May):

Missing teens, Aaliyah Wright Carter, Naima Calita Tatum, and Joshua Whittaker, who were recently reported missing, have all been located and appear to be in good health.

The RCIPS thanks the public for their immediate assistance in locating the teens.


Initial Release (1 May):

On 24 April, police received two separate reports of missing females, 16-year-old Aaliyah Wright Carter, and 13-year-old Naima Calita Tatum.

Aaliyah was last seen leaving her West Bay home on 23 April.  She is described as of medium build, about 5’ 5” in height, with light complexion, and was wearing jean shorts, a grey and blue shirt and black slippers.

Naima was last seen at her home in Bodden Town on 23 April.  She is described as of slim build, with medium brown complexion, and with black natural hair.

On 27 April, police received a report of a missing male, 16-year-old Joshua Whittaker. 

Joshua is described as of slim build, around 6’5” tall, with medium brown complexion.  He has a high top with faded sides hair style. He was last seen wearing a camouflage hoodie, black shorts and black and white sneakers.

The three teens are known to associate with each other.  Images of the teens are not available at this time.

Members of the public are encouraged not to harbour these missing teens, but instead to call 911 immediately if any of the three teens are seen, or their whereabouts is known, for their own safety.

The RCIPS is reminding the public that anyone who harbours or conceals a young person, is guilty of an offense and is liable, on conviction, to being fined $2000 and to imprisonment for three months.  

Anyone with information on the teens’ whereabouts is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222 or the M.A.S.H Unit at 649-6000.
