Octave: Art of HiFi Volume II & Jazz

Octave is kicking off this summer with two must-have albums!

World-touring pianist, Erik Deutsch, created a simple and beautiful jazz trio album, Decades, with New York jazz cats Tony Mason (drums) and Dean Johnson (bass). This album takes us through decades of jazz and Erik’s group captures each era perfectly. Intimate, lively and everything in between, this is a jazz album that should be found in any good audiophile collection.

Both albums are available on SACD and download. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or comments. Cheers to summer!

Volume II

The Artist – Various

Volume II of our new series The Art of HiFi is all about the ever-illusive audiophile subject, Soundstage. Paul, Terri and I recorded shows all over Colorado in different venues to capture a variety of great examples of soundstage. From intimate jazz clubs, hipster dance halls, arts centers and our own Octave Studios, we put together a very cool lineup of different soundstages as well as an excellent collection of music. The trick will be, is your system dialed in enough to correctly play back what was recorded?

Erik Deutsch

If you love jazz…

Decades by Erik Deutsch is self-descriptive, exploring music from the decades of jazz. From CTA by Jimmy Heath taking us back to the 50’s, to Erik’s own modern composition, Emor Eterno, this jazz collection covers lively, sultry and everything in between. New York jazz heavy-hitters, Dean Johnson (upright bass) and Tony Mason (drums) join world-touring Erik Deutsch (piano) to make an absolutely stunning album. Recorded and mixed in DSD, Decades is available on SACD and downloads

Regular price$29.00 USD
