Guyanese National Hemerson Gonzalez 31yrs old is still missing

Guyanese National Hemerson Gonzalez 31yrs old is still missing. Mr. Gonzalez was last seen on Tuesday December 11th.

RCIPS officers along with Air Operation Unit carried out an extensive search for Mr. Gonzalez yesterday without success.

It has been five (5) days now since Mr. Gonzalez has been reported missing. The RCIPS is still appealing for the assistance of the public in locating this male.

Police officers are out on the streets handing out flyers with Mr. Gonzalez picture on it. A team of officers are continuing the search.

The lead investigating officer in this disappearance is Detective Sergeant Charmane Huntley who can be reached at George Town Police Station Criminal Investigation Department 9494222.

The RCIPS Major Incident Room has been activated at The George Town Police Station. Persons with information can call 925-7240 or 926-3975.

No matter how insignificant your information may appears to you we would like to hear from you. Persons can also call any of the police stations or Crime- Stoppers at 1800Tips (8477).

Update: Sat 15 Dec Man still missing

The 31yr old Guyanese National Hemerson Gonzalez is still missing.

Officers of the RCIPS CID and Operational Support Unit have been out since early this morning continuing their search for Mr. Gonzalez. The officers, thus far, have searched and are still searching various areas around the East/ West Arterial in George Town where the man was staying and last seen. House to House enquires are being carried out.

It is very concerning that Mr. Gonzalez have not been seen since Tuesday December 11th (below press release refers).

Mr. Gonzalez is described as being about 5’  8” in height, with a dark brown complexion and curly black hair which is about 1” – 1.5” in length. He weighs about  180 lbs. and has a tattoo of a compass on his left forearm and writing tattooed on the inside of his left wrist. He speaks with a Guyanese accent.  When last seen he was wearing brown jeans shorts, a t-shirt and blue low cut cloth shoes.

RCIPS is appealing to anyone who knows of Mr. Gonzalez’s whereabouts to please contact any of your local police stations.

Officers of the RCIPS are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety and well-being of a 31-year-old Guyanese national who has been missing sinceTuesday evening.

Hemerson Gonzalez, who is a regular visitor to the Cayman Islands, arrived in Grand Cayman on Sunday, 9 December 2012. He was staying with a male friend in Canyon Dawn Drive in the Spotts/ Newlands area. He was last seen by his friend leaving that address around 5.30pm on Tuesday 11 December. At that time Mr. Gonzalez was feeling ill and had been suffering from severe vomiting.

Mr. Gonzalez is described as being about 5’  8” in height, with a dark brown complexion and curly black hair which is about 1” – 1.5” in length. He weighs about  180 lbs. and has a tattoo of a compass on his left forearm and writing tattooed on the inside of his left wrist. He speaks with a Guyanese accent.  When last seen he was wearing brown jeans shorts, a t-shirt and blue low cut cloth shoes.

He has not been in contact with any friends since Tuesday evening and checks with local hospitals have confirmed that he has not sought medical attention for his illness.

Anyone who knows of his current whereabouts, or can supply any information about his movements since 5.30pm on Tuesday, should contact George Town police station on 949-4222.
