On Friday (12) at approximately 1.55pm a male was driving along Shedden Road in the vicinity of Funky Tangs when he was assaulted with a rock to his head by a male.

The suspected assailant; a 25yr old male later arrested and is currently in police custody. The suspected assailant is said to suffer from mental illness.

The matter is currently under investigation by George Town uniform officers.

The victim who suffered a wound to the head refused medical attention. His injuries does not appear to be life-threatening.
