caribbean clubLana Elias, a Caymanian from George Town was the lucky recipient of a “Vacation Week Overseas” the fantastic prize given to celebrate the launch of the Reef Resident Club at a recent presentation hosted by the Reef Resort Director Gaetan Babin at the Chamber of Commerce, Friday night, January 4th 2013.

“The prize allows the recipient to choose their destination anywhere in the world – from 75 countries and select from 2,400 Interval International resorts.” explains Babin.

Ms. Elias said she is hoping to travel to Europe maybe France, Italy or Ireland. She plans to take her son and other family members with her to enjoy their two bedroom spacious accommodation in a stylish resort.  “This is such a special prize for my son and I, as we have never been to Europe and maybe we would never have the opportunity to travel that far without this amazing prize”

She continued…“I think the Reef Resident Club is such a great benefit to Cayman Residents and will help others to travel worldwide as well as to enjoy the beautiful Reef Resort right here, I think many people will get on board with the Reef Resident Club after hearing about this fantastic opportunity. Many of us are very excited about this great promotion and are grateful to theReef Resort for implementing the program.”

Kel Thompson owner & developer of theReef Resort in East End, part of Thompson Resorts Ltd created theReef in part to offer Vacation Ownership some twelve years ago, since then the resort has garnered over 2000 timeshare owners from all over the world – 90 % of whom return to our shores each year and indulge in the beauty of our Islands.

TheReef Resident Club project is the brainchild of Resort Director Gaetan Babin. Babin has been recognized as a Registered Resort Professional an esteemed award presented by the American Resort Development Association. He regularly speaks at the annual ARDA convention in the United States, and as such he has been recognized for his dedication and leadership within the timeshare industry.

“The Reef Resident Club is ‘A unique members only privilege program, offering incredible opportunities and unquestionable value exclusively to residents of the Cayman Islands.’ said Babin who went on to explain “We have decided to give back to our community in an unusual way- we wanted to offer exceptional travel opportunities to residents at a very low cost so we developed theReef Resident Club a unique opportunity exclusively for Residents of the Cayman Islands. By joining the club we can offer owners access to a network of over 2400 resorts in 75 countries and experience a week stay for only CI$125. This is just one of the long list of fantastic benefits theReef Resident Club offers.

Our developer Kel Thompson has given us the chance to do this by dedicating a limited amount of resort rooms for use by residents only. We have used our marketing dollars in an extremely creative way by offering membership at a once in a lifetime ‘super affordable’ price – which means literally anyone living here in Cayman can afford it. So as you can imagine we have had a fantastic reaction to theReef Resident Club by the residents who have been introduced to this, and we look forward to spreading the word and inviting more residents to come take a look at what this is all about.
