Merle’s Personal Lifebook Story
I suppose I began my Lifebook nucleus in 1994; then developed in 2002 with a brief course in the Psychology of Emotional Intelligence. That progressed me into countless courses and conferences all over the world; then in 2009 a good friend, Sean Stephenson literally demanded, “You’ve got to do this!” I attended the Lifebook Programme, in Chicago. This was the programme that really touched my heart and while I’ve gone deeper academically, over the years My Lifebook Leadership has always been with me. The Lifebook family is there every step of the way, never losing contact and sharing like true family.
The 12 categories, (empty baskets, as Jon calls them), I have now filled with four worlds, six scales, 25 traits, and the intangible human essence has emerged into master components; or baskets, now filled with these, as though a ‘deposit of faith and morals’ ready to grow, to teach, to counsel and encourage, to help others to bring out the very best version of themselves.
Lifebook for me is a gentle warrior’s programme, and that’s why I choose to be a Lifebook Leader!
