The telecommunications company is the first on the island to offer SVOD service

Miami, FL, July 1, 2013 – Beginning Tuesday, July 2nd, Setar’s subscribers in Aruba who currently have the HBO & MAX Premium package will have access to SVOD (subscription video on demand) service as an added value to their subscription. The telecommunication provider partnered with HBO Latin America to offer its premium subscribers access to its new SVOD service, HBO On Demand, making it the first cable operator on the island to offer the service.

HBO On Demand offers a selection of the best programming by HBO, free to those already subscribed to the HBO & MAX Premium package. Subscribers can enjoy blockbuster hits, past and current original series, specials, kids programming, documentaries and adult content. They will have a selection of over 200 hours of content to choose from at any given time on their TVs, and new title are refreshed every week. In addition to watching their favorite shows whenever they want, subscribers will have advanced options that allow them to pause, forward or rewind with their remote control.

“The launch of HBO On Demand with Setar is remarkable because we are giving subscribers the opportunity to view their favorite HBO content at their convenience,” said Javier Figueras, Corporate Vice President of Affiliate Sales for HBO Latin America. “Viewers will have access to complete seasons of HBO original productions such as True Blood, The Newsroom, Veep and Vice, as well as blockbuster films including Wrath of the Titans, Looper, Resident Evil: Retribution, and Men in Black 3, to name a few.”

HBO On Demand does not have an additional cost for subscribers of Setar’s HBO & MAX Premium package. The content is updated every week, adding more episodes and seasons of different series, new movies, documentaries, and much more. Subscribers will also have access to special “behind the scenes” content of HBO’s original productions that are currently on-air.
