Halloween COOL Camp

Cayman Islands Kids Gaelic Football Club Welcomes All to the Spooky Sports Spectacular ‘Halloween COOL Camp’

The Cayman Islands Kids Gaelic Football Club is excited to introduce the addition of another COOL Camp to the 2019 calendar: a 3-day camp during the Halloween Mid Term Break from Wednesday 23rd October to Friday 25th October  at the The Camana Bay Sports Complex.

Earlier this year we had our Mid-Term and Easter COOL Camps taking place, with a sell out 70 kids in attendance at both camps.  We also hosted our St. Patrick’s Day Blitz back in March, with games for all ages, including welly throwing, face painting, giant egg and spoon races, tug of war with mums and dads and even an ice cream van to celebrate!

In the Halloween COOL Camp, the training will start with a basic warm up for all players, followed by a quick fun game to get everyone familiar with catching and throwing the Gaelic Football. The coaching will then move on to learning a couple of specific techniques used in Gaelic Football, followed by a chance to practice these new skills in drills. To further develop these practices, a short, fun-orientated game for each age group will take place to challenge the players to incorporate their new skills into the team play environment. Finally, a competitive game will close the session.

It is going to be another action packed three days focusing on learning and developing the Gaelic Football skills of running, passing, kicking, tackling along with movement and agility skills and, of course, teamwork and friendship.  All are welcome and no prior experience is necessary.

As with all our other Camps and Blitz Days, we have indoor facilities available so regardless of weather conditions the fun will go ahead and the kids will be comfortable and within a safe environment.
