CUC power outages hit Cayman

Two CUC generating units failed and caused outages across Grand Cayman including parts of Bodden Town, Prospect, George Town and West Bay.

CUC says the reason for the outdates on Thursday (27) were due to “a temporary loss of electricity supplying two generating units within the North Sound Road power plant.”

Officials said power was restored to all customers by 2:45 p.m. The outages started at 12:55 p.m.
