Coalition For Cayman congratulates newly registered voters

863 new voters from Grand Cayman and 44 new voters from Cayman Brac were registered on deadline day, Wednesday, January 2, 2013

Grand Cayman – January 4, 2013 – Coalition for Cayman, public awareness and advocacy group, today congratulated the 2,783 newly registered voters reported by the Cayman Islands Elections Office. That total includes 863 new voters from Grand Cayman and 44 new voters from Cayman Brac who were registered on deadline day, Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Yesterday the Coalition forCayman ended its month-long, multi-media voter registration campaign that included print, radio, television and social media advertising, encouraging potential voters to register before the January 2, 2013 deadline.

The Cayman Islands Elections Office deserves a special thank you, from all Caymanians, for working through midnight to make sure that every eligible voter who wanted to register to vote had the opportunity to do so.”
