8/12/23] — Strike Twice Creative is excited to announce the return of award-winning writer and producer Brittany Suzanne Kelly to Cayman. Following the success of her previous workshop, Brittany will be hosting two dynamic new workshops on 16 and 17 December 2023 at Ironshore Studios. 

Kelly has been recognised for her writing with her Grand Prize win of the 2021 Diverse Voices screenwriting competition and earning a spot on the International Screenwriter’s Association 25 Writers to Watch in 2022. 

Kelly has also worked on the production of Caymanian short films such as “IVAN” and “TOCSIN” and is passionate about empowering creatives. Earlier this year, she hosted a well-received two-day workshop in the Cayman Islands focusing on the Introduction to Independent Production. A participant from the previous workshop shared, “Brittany is professional, well-spoken, and engaging. She is very knowledgeable in this area of expertise and overall created a fun learning environment that inspires creativity.”

Kelly shared her vision for these workshops, stating, “I want to provide access to the information I wish I had growing up in Cayman. By giving people the tools they need to create, we can cultivate a space for diverse stories. My goal is to inspire younger Caymanians to create art in their own image, breaking away from the narratives we commonly see on our screens.”

The first workshop, “Intro to Screenwriting,” will be held on 16 December, followed by “Independent Production Basics” on 17 December.
