Wanted Man: Police Seek the Assistance of the Public to Locate Wanted Man Joshua Glendale Ebanks

The RCIPS have been investigating the whereabouts of 30-year-old Joshua Glendale Ebanks of West Bay who is wanted by the police. Mr. Ebanks, who is a client of the Electronic Monitoring System, destroyed and removed his monitoring devices and through this action has breached the terms of his conditional release from HMP, and must now be returned to continue his custodial sentence.

He has been known to be concerned with firearm-related offenses and is to be treated as violent and dangerous, and should not be approached. Police are asking the public to call 9-1-1 immediately if he is seen. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.

Anonymous tips can be provided directly to the RCIPS via our Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777, or via our website. Tips can also be submitted anonymously via the Cayman Crime Stoppers website.

Additionally, Mr. Ebanks is encouraged to turn himself in to the Cayman Islands Detention Centre, or the nearest active police station, at any time, day or night.

The public is again being reminded that according to the Police Law (2021 Revision), to obstruct, mislead or act in such a way as to prevent the apprehension of a person who has committed an offence.  If prosecuted for such an offence, you may be liable on conviction to a fine of $5000 or imprisonment for two years or both.
