URGENT ROAD CLOSURE EXTENDED IN GEORGE TOWN

George Town Road Closure Extended to 12PM Today Due to Delayed Concrete Delivery

George Town, Cayman Islands- April 22, 2024 – The Central Business District Enhancement Project road closure in George Town has been extended until 12pm today, April 22, 2024. The closure was originally scheduled to end on Sunday, April 21, 2024, but the concrete delivery was delayed. The concrete arrived this morning and is currently being utilized.

The affected area includes the junction of Edward Street and Fort Street.

Motorists are advised to avoid the areas stated and use alternative routes until after 12pm today.

The Central Business District Enhancement Project is a major infrastructure project under the George Town Revitalization Initiative that will improve the pedestrian experience, enhance the streetscape and create a more vibrant and sustainable George Town.
