Universal Music Latino and CONCACAF join forces in a historic partnership and release the Official Anthem of the 2023 Gold Cup!

Miami, June 23, 2023 – Universal Music Latino (UML), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world leader in music-based entertainment, and The Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) have signed an exciting strategic collaboration agreement. This multi-year partnership marks a historic moment in the entertainment and sports industry, delivering unique experiences to football fans throughout the region. 

As part of this collaboration, UML will act as Concacaf’s official music consultant and partner for each Concacaf Tournament. UML will be producing the official track and video for each CONCACAF tournament, providing unparalleled playlists, and presenting UML artists’ performances at matches, among other standout services. This partnership encompasses all CONCACAF tournaments, both men’s and women’s, including the Gold Cup and the Nations League, among others. 

The kickoff of this alliance will be the official theme of Concacaf’s 2023 Gold Cup, which begins on June 24th at Soldier Field in Chicago. The song, “NO ES SOLO UN JUEGO” (It’s Not Just a Game), which represents the spirit of the XYZ generations, will be performed by renowned artists such as Chiquis, Akon, Oriana, Lasso, and Adriel Favela.


This strategic agreement represents a significant milestone in the convergence of music and sports, opening a new chapter in their intersection. Through this partnership, both organizations are firmly committed to providing unforgettable and thrilling experiences to football fans across the region. This commitment is based on the premise that music and sports have the unique power to unite people, evoke intense emotions, and create memorable moments that transcend cultural and linguistic barriers.

A celebration of soccer, sportsmanship and culture, the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup – in its 17th edition of the competition – will be played between June 16 – July 16, 2023, across 15 stadiums in 14 United States and Canadian metropolitan areas and will crown the best national team in the region.
