Introducing Cayman’s First Scuba Mile Relay Race – June 15, 2013

Red Sail Sports, Aqua Lung and DAN have come together with the creators of the Flowers Sea Swim to launch the first CAYMAN SCUBA MILE. The event will be held on June 15, 2013 in tandem with the popular Flower’s Sea Swim. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Special Olympics Cayman Islands (SOCI).

The Cayman Scuba Mile is a relay race with a difference, with teams of four divers (with two support snorkelers) racing ¼ mile each on scuba – the first team across the finish line wins bragging rights for a year and a trophy to proudly display in your dive shop.

The Race

Held in conjunction with the world renowned Flowers Sea Swim, the inaugural Cayman Scuba Mile will be held on Saturday June 15th. Checkin and safety breifing will be at 1:00pm, the race will officially start at 2:30pm in tandem with the Flowers Sea Swim. Enter a team of your 4 fastest divers and 2 safety snorkelers to compete in the Cayman Scuba Mile. Race entry will be CI$200 per team and all prcoeeds will be donated to the Cayman Islands Special Olympics.  All team members will receive a free goodie bag, be entered to win random prizes and the winning team will receive a trophy (along with bragging rights!)
