Courtney Chard is a second-generation U.A. Local 46 welder. Her father was a pipeline welder who loved every part of his job. As a child, she spent countless hours in his welding shop. Today, her daughter Hayden, age 7, does the same in her shop.

“I remember being very proud that my father was a welder. Now I realize that my daughter is just as proud of me and what I do. We pass the pride we take in our trade to the generations that follow.”
