Emergency communications received call around 12:06pm this afternoon and Police attended the scene of an attempt robbery report which occurred in AL Thompson parking lot, George town. Shots fired but no one injured in the incident.

Two males were in the AL Thompson parking lot when they were approached by an individual who demand cash. Victims drove off towards Welly’s Cool Spot. Shots were fired at the vehicle but no one was injured in the incident.

It is believed that the incident was as a result of illegal gambling and not gang related.

According to witnesses the two men were in the parking lot when two suspects road up on a dark colored  scooter. The passenger approached the two males dressed who a white cloth wrapped around his face. The rider dressed in dark T-shirt and dark helmet.

After the incident the suspects rode off west towards Eastern Avenue and Shedden Road direction.

Police are asking for anyone who was in the area off AL Thompson parking lot, Welly’s Cool Spot or the junction of Shedden Road and Eastern Avenue locations to at the time to contact the GTPS at 9494222 or Crime stoppers at 800-(TIPS).
