Rotary Central Donates to Peace Day

1. Family Resource Centre Programme Coordinator Miriam Foster receives donation cheque from President of Rotary Central Ravi Kapoor.

The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central is delighted to support the Department of Counselling Services’ Family Resource Centre (FRC) in their efforts to host Cayman’s first ever Peace Day ceremony on Friday, 21 September.

Rotary Central’s sponsorship of CI$1,200 went towards specially produced Peace Day T-shirts. Proceeds will be used to support a range of FRC programmes which aim to reduce domestic violence in our community.

To join in on the occasion, members of Rotary Central will also be present at the ceremony.

President of Rotary Central Ravi Kapoor said, “I am very pleased that we are able to support the occasion and help out in this way. Rotary International’s theme for the year is Peace Through Service, and the more we can do as a Club and as a community to highlight and promote peace in our lives, the happier we will all be.”

For more information on the Peace Day event, please contact FRC at 949-0006. To find out more about Rotary Central, visit www.rotarycentral.org.
