3 people arrested for DUI Friday (20) night

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service in their effort on cracking down on all crime and traffic violations arrested three (3) people last [Friday] night, December 20th into the early hours of December 21st, for the offence of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Five (5) roadblocks were carried out throughout Grand Cayman which resulted in a number of persons being reported for prosecution for various traffic offences.

The RCIPS is determined to reduce road fatalities and serious accidents by targeting bad driving.

” It is obvious that their are persons out there that blatantly has no regard for the laws of the Cayman Islands”.

As such we the RCIPS encourages the public to report any crime or traffic violation they observe. We can’t be everywhere, so we rely on you the public to be our eyes and ears, said a spokesperson of the RCIPS.

Road safety and crime prevention is the focus for RCIPS this festive season.
