“Rawlinson & Hunter is a silver sponsor for LCTG 2012 Breast Ccancer Awareness Campaign”

Rawlinson & Hunter Partner, Mr. William Walmsley, presenting their Silver sponsor cheque to Lion Maureen Robinson.

Rawlinson & Hunter has been an ongoing supporter of the Lions’ Club of Tropical Gardens Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign for several years and continued this trend by becoming a silver sponsor this year.  Lion Elva Smith, President of the Lions Club, expressed her thanks to the organization and explained that the donation would be used to finance mammograms and other medical expenses for those persons who are afflicted with this dreadful disease.

Rawlinson & Hunter Partner, Mr. William Walmsley, said that the company is proud to once again support the fight against breast cancer. ”This year our team plans to raise additional funds on Dress Pink Day and we also have a number of team members and their families participating in the Brenda Tibbetts Lund Memorial Run/Walk. This is a disease that does not discriminate and we strongly encourage all residents to support the programme and to go out and get tested”.

The breast cancer awareness campaign continues to have a positive impact on lives in the Cayman Islands. Over 52,000 persons have benefited from our educational programmes, over 7,500 mammogram vouchers, sponsored by our Club have enabled women to proactively assess their breast health and over 250 individuals have been assisted with health care and other related costs, both at home and overseas.

To get more information on the activities planned for this month, the public is invited to visit the Lions’ website at www.lctgbreastcancerawareness.com
