Power the Performers

By Scott McGowan From PS Audio

I had tickets for Roger Waters’ This is Not a Drill tour this fall…which has been canceled due to COVID-19. While Waters is not what most would call a “struggling” artist, there are thousands out there whose main source of income is not digital downloads nor album sales, but the revenue they collect when performing live. One of the first sectors to be impacted by this crisis was live performances—large and small—and they were hit hard. Artists, along with their bands, crews, techs, and promoters are certainly not the only ones in the music industry—or the world—to be impacted by the pandemic. But they are the world’s Music Creators, and it’s not just about their loss of income. These artists face the same threats to health, safety and security as do us all.

PS Audio wants to help these artists and we thought we’d ask the Hi-Fi Family to join our efforts. For the month of May, we will be running a sale and donation program on our Stellar PowerPlant 3 https://www.psaudio.com/products/stellar-power-plant-3. We’re calling it Power the Performers! We’ve significantly reduced the US-price on the P3 and we are going to donate $100 from each sale to our friends at MusiCares. They set up an amazing COVID-19 Relief Fund which you can read more about here: https://www.grammy.com/musicares/donations?utm_source=Spotify&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=Spotifycovid19 MusiCares has partnered with Spotify, who is going to match your $100 donation, providing a whopping $200 a pop to artists in need.

If you are feeling generous but not able to pick up the P3, there is a great option to donate directly to MusiCares via their website. The P3 promotion is available nation-wide, and some overseas regions may participate.

These artists make our Audio Journey possible, and we’re here to shout it from the rooftops: Music matters! Thank you, musicians!
