FURTHER UPDATE: Thu Feb 1- The Operations team of Water Authority – Cayman will be continuing their work on North Sound Road this evening from8:00PM to approximately 9:00PM. During this time the southbound lanes of North Sound Road between the Butterfield Roundabout and the intersection with Portland Road will be closed.

 

UPDATE: Wed Jan 31 T he Operations team of Water Authority – Cayman will be working to reinstate the portion of North Sound Road affected by yesterday’s leak (see below) from approximately 8:00PM-9:30PM. During this time the southbound lanes of North Sound Road between the Butterfield Roundabout and the intersection with Portland Road will again be closed to facilitate these works.

 

The RCIPS has been informed by Water Authority – Cayman that they will be closing the two south-bound lanes of North Sound Road between the Butterfield Roundabout and the intersection with Portland Road from 8:00PM on Tuesday, 30 January, to approximately 1:00AM on Wednesday, 31 January, in order to facilitate emergency repairs to a leak on North Sound Road.

During this time, motorists are kindly asked to detour around the work area via Industrial Park or Eastern Avenue.  Please drive with caution and obey all traffic signs and instructions from Water Authority staff.

Repair Works Affecting North Sound Road

Water Authority – Cayman is currently working to repair a leak on North Sound Road. To facilitate these works, the two south-bound lanes of North Sound Road between the Butterfield Roundabout and the intersection with Portland Road will be closed from 8:00pm on Tuesday, 30 January, to approximately 1:00am on Wednesday, 31 January.

During this time, motorists are kindly asked to detour around the work area via Industrial Park or Eastern Avenue. Please drive with caution and obey all traffic signs and instructions from Water Authority staff.
