Ogier Stroke and Stride raises $1,500 for Cayman Islands Crisis Centre’s Youth Services

From Ogier

Cayman’s Stroke and Stride races, which Ogier was the title sponsor for this year, have raised $1,500 for the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre’s Teens and Young Adults (TAYA) lounge.

The lounge is a walk-in centre run by the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, providing a safe and supportive environment for teens and young adults who have been affected by domestic abuse.

The donation has been made possible by the entry fees paid by those who participated in the popular Stroke and Stride races, an event organised by the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association and sponsored by Ogier.

The mixed sea swim and running races, staggered over three weeks in August and increasing in distance each time, saw hundreds participating, including a team from the Ogier office.

Partner Rachael Reynolds said:

“We were delighted to once again be sponsoring the popular Stroke and Stride races, and are pleased that this year’s races have raised funds for the TAYA lounge, which provides an invaluable lifeline and safe space for young people in Cayman affected by domestic abuse.

“We hope the donation will be helpful for the Cayman Crisis Centre in their work for teens and young adults.”

Ania Milanowska, Executive Director of the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, said:

“We are very grateful to the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association, Ogier and all the participants of the Stroke and Stride races for their support and donation. Investing in our youth and their future is of the utmost importance, and corporate and community support is invaluable for the success of TAYA Lounge.”
