Moms and kids came out to celebrate Child Month’s Mother & Child Evening across Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac last Wednesday (9 May).

Throughout each district, the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) organised dinner and games for families to enjoy.

At Casanova Restaurant in George Town, retired teacher and guest speaker Ms. Ummi Kapoor reminded boys and girls to love and appreciate their mother. She also encouraged moms to cherish the moments spent with their children, while sharing some of her own parenting tips.

To suit the occasion, Ms. Kapoor was also accompanied by her daughter.

Restaurant staff jazzed up the evening with a musical performance, and a few kids joined in to play the tambourines.

Similar activities took place at the other district locations.
