Mobile voting dates

A polling station for the police and crime commissioner election in Bethersden, KentFrom Cayman Islands Election Office

The Elections Office wishes to advise all electors and candidates that in accordance with section 50 (1) of the Elections Law (2009 Revision) mobile voting will be conducted in the following districts commencing at 8:00 A.M. in the morning until 6:00 P.M. in the evening:

 

·       Cayman Brac and Little Cayman: Friday, May 10, 2013

·       North Side: Monday, May 13, 2013

·       East End: Monday, May 13, 2013

·       Bodden Town: Tuesday, May 14, 2013

·       George Town: Wednesday, May 15, 2013

·       West Bay: Thursday, May 16, 2013

 

The Elections Office will publish by Gazette and in the media, at a date prior to commencement of mobile polling, the places that will be visited by mobile teams in all electoral districts.

All electors who have applied in Form C to vote by mobile polling may attend the static mobile polling stations. There will be three mobile polling teams in the larger districts and two in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman to accommodate Little Cayman electors.  In the districts of North Side and East End the mobile team will maintain a static station during the morning and will visit homes and the rest home in the afternoon or sooner if those who opt to attend the static station vote early.

Static or stationery mobile stations will be set up at the following locations in the 6 electoral districts:

 

·       Cayman Brac and Little Cayman: Aston Rutty Centre and the Public Works workers quarters (Little Cayman)

·       East End: Allen McLaughlin Civic Centre

·       North Side: Craddock Ebanks Civic Centre

·       Bodden Town: Bodden Town Civic Centre

·       George Town: Elections Office’s polling trailer 150 Smith Road (Smith Road Centre)

·       West Bay: Elections Office’s polling trailer by West Bay Public Library
