Miss Festival Queen kicks off Pirates Week

Winner, Kasey Bodden Miss East End

The Cayman Islands Miss Festival Queen competition got the Pirates Week festivities off to a colourful and glamourous start. That was followed by the Steel Pan competition, divided into Junior and Senior steel bands. The Juniors represented schools St Ignatius Triple C, Grace Christian Academy and Cayman Prep. St Ignatius finished fourth, Triple C was third, Grace Christian Academy came second and Cayman Prep won.

In the Senior Category were three teams. The winners Paneramers won, in second place was Pandemics and in third place came Pandemonium.

Miss East End, Kasey Bodden won the Miss Festival Queen competition with a beautiful shell costume. Miss Bodden Town, Tori Miller came second, in a wearing a wonderful dress embroidered with sea animals, including a lovely stingray.

Miss North Side, Mariah Forbes wore a beautiful undersea costume complete with a real sea fan, and Miss West Bay, Tiffany Conolly, looked stunning in a costume with two big wings which depicted the sea world.

Miss George Town, Melissa Rankine wore a lovely green dress, depicting the mangroves, and Miss Cayman Brac, Sophia Johnson was wearing an outfit that was truly fit for a queen.
