Mario Ebanks joins Cayman Islands Airports’ management team

Mario EbanksMario Ebanks, former Director of Labour and Pensions in the Ministry of Education, Employment and Gender Affairs has taken over the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at the Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA).

Commenting on his post Mr. Ebanks said, “After spending the past few years as Director of Labour & Pensions, as well as Superintendent of Pensions and working with the team to make strides in an important regulatory role, I am delighted to return to my passion of human resources and organizational development.” Mr. Ebanks added, “CIAA is a critical aviation services organization with huge infrastructural development plans in the near term, therefore providing cutting-edge human resources advice and support is essential to those plans.”

Mr. Ebanks started working as the CIAA CHRO on Wednesday 1st July 2015. In his new role Mr. Ebanks will be responsible for strategic human resources management, recruitment, staffing and succession planning as well as performance management and policy development and implementation.

CIAA CEO Albert Anderson said, “The Airports Authority is pleased to have someone of Mr. Ebanks’ calibre on our Senior Management team, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will definitely benefit CIAA staff and the organization as a whole.”

Mr. Ebanks said he looks forward to working at the Airports Authority and added, “I am excited to work along with the CEO and the dynamic team of management and staff to help the organization grow from ‘Good to Great’.”
