A man is in hospital and another is in police custody following a stabbing on Friday morning (19 October 2012).

About 10.15 am on Friday, police received a report that a man had been stabbed in Kingbird Drive, George Town.

The man, aged 49, was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where he is currently being treated. His condition is described as critical, but stable.

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
