KRyS Global donates laptops to the Cayman Islands NWDA

KRyS Global Laptop Donation to NWDAThe National Workforce Development Agency (NWDA) welcomed the donation of 18 refurbished laptops from local company KRyS Global on 30th March, 2015. These laptops will be used in the NWDA’s Training and Development Unit’s Training Programme. KRyS Global provides solutions to complex cross-border issues in the areas of Corporate Recovery, Insolvency, Forensic Accounting and Business Advisory Services.

On hand for the delivery at the NWDA Offices were Minister for Employment Hon. Tara Rivers, Councillor Winston Connolly, Acting Chief Officer Christen Suckoo, Deputy Chief Officer Tasha Ebanks-Garcia, NWDA Director Brian Holland, NWDA Training and Development Manager Dianne Conolly, and Senior Manager at KRyS Global Christopher Smith.

This donation of laptops will help registrants at the NWDA access technology for educational purposes, learn how to use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and help them with future career opportunities. The hope is that registrants will take advantage of the National Training Programme and the access they will have to web-based learning activities as a result of this donation.

Minister Rivers thanked KRyS Global for their generous donation. She said, “This is a great example of the public and private sector working together to benefit the people of the Cayman Islands. I would like to thank KRyS Global for their donation and assisting the NWDA with making their services more accessible through technology.”

Mr. Kenneth Krys, Executive Chairman and Founder of KRyS Global provided a statement on the donation saying, “We’re always looking for ways that we can assist the community and our IT Department worked hard to reset and set up these laptops for use outside of KRyS Global. We were glad to find such a worthy home for them.”

Mr. Christopher Smith, Senior Manager at KRyS Global was delighted to hand over the laptops and said, “We’re pleased that these laptops will be put to good use at the NWDA’s training programmes. They’ve served us well at KRyS Global and it’s good to know that they will now help others to achieve their goals.”

Director of the NWDA, Mr. Brian Holland also offered his thanks. He said, “We are extremely pleased that KRyS Global has taken an interest in the success of those who utilise the services of NWDA and in realising the importance of technology to their search for employment. Words cannot fully express our gratitude for this remarkable gesture.”
