Leading global investor services group IQ-EQ is pleased to announce the appointment of James Bolton as Country Delivery Director and Andrew Edgington as Client Director for the Cayman Islands.

Cayman is a leading funds domicile with nearly half of the alternative fund industry’s estimated assets.

 
Q-EQ’s Cayman Islands business is fully licenced and regulated, enabling them to offer a full corporate and fund administration solution in the jurisdiction. As the regulatory environment in the Cayman Islands develops and compliance requirements evolve, access to on-the-ground expertise in this jurisdiction has become increasingly important.

In his new role as Country Delivery Director, James will drive the operational performance of IQ-EQ Cayman delivering a quality service across all areas of the business.

James brings to IQ-EQ a decade of experience in the onshore and offshore private client industry. James spent five years in Guernsey before moving to the Cayman Islands in 2014, where he has been responsible for managing the full lifecycle of trust and corporate offerings for established trust companies.

Commenting on his appointment, James said: “I am delighted to be part of the IQ-EQ team and to play a key role in growing our business in the Cayman Islands. In his new role as Client Director, Andrew will be responsible for developing client relationships and growing IQ-EQ’s client base in the Cayman Islands. Andrew brings a wealth of experience with 30 years in global investment banking, asset management and hedge funds. After spending 20 years in London, Andrew moved to the Cayman Islands in 2008, where he has been providing specialist consultancy, management, administration, fiduciary and independent director services to investment funds and structures.

Commenting on his appointment, Andrew said: “Our clients need regional expertise to meet challenges that arise as a result of regulatory requirements. It’s a very exciting time to be joining IQ-EQ because the demand for services in the Cayman Islands needs to be met with an experienced team to make complex regulatory requirements easier for clients to navigate.”

At IQ-EQ, Country Delivery Director and Client Director are key senior roles to meet the growing demand for regional expertise and further strengthen the local senior management team as the Cayman office continues to grow.
