Ex-Compass editor is premier’s new press secretary

office of the premier-vTammie Chisholm, ex-editor of The Caymanian Compass has been appointed as the new press secretary for the premier’s office.

Although no official announcement has been given to the appointment it has been reported in other media houses that M/s Chisholm took over the job from former government press secretary Charles Glidden.

Charles Glidden, who was previously working for CITN/Cayman27 and at the Pirates Week Festival office, was press secretary during McKeeva Bush’s reign as premier as well as the six month term of Juliana O’Connor-Connolly.

Chisholm was Editor of the Compass for many years until the recent change of ownership to David and Vicki Legge of Pinnacle Media.

CNS are reporting that Roy Tatum has been appointed as senior political advisor to the premier and Kenneth Bryan as political assistant to the premier.

This comes after premier Alden McLaughlin’s announcement that he was restructuring the politically appointed staff in his office to cut headcount!
