Empowering Youth

Youth Act Prevention Day.Still001
Legally there are “no chances, only choices”.

Helping young people to make the right choices is the thrust of GIS Spotlight, for the week of Monday, 1 July 2013.

An exciting new pilot project has brought together multiple community, rehabilitation, and criminal justice agencies to make a strong and positive impact on impressionable pre-teens and teenagers. Join us to learn about this innovative exercise involving the police, educators, pastors and other officials.

Police officers were a big part of the youth empowerment exercise.

By presenting their experience and knowledge in a manner that speaks directly to young people, the Youth ACT charity is seeking to guide a vulnerable age-group away from negative influences and choices.

After that, we make repeat stops at a unique cultural event hosted by the Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF), and a training session that targeted public and private sector financial professionals.
