Electors Registration Cards

candidatecards2The Elections Office wishes to advise all registered electors who were previously issued elector registration cards and who have not recently applied in Form 13 to change their particulars that they may now collect their new cards at the Elections Office on Grand Cayman and at the District Commissioner’s Office on Cayman Brac.

All electors who are still in possession of previously issued cards are requested to return them when collecting their new cards.

For those electors who have registered since October 2012 or have recently changed their particulars the Elections Office wishes to advise that once the Official Registers of Electors come into effect on April 1st, 2013 they may apply for a card.  Cards will be issued at the Elections Office on a daily basis and in the districts on days to be announced.  Whilst the Elections Office would like for all registered electors to have their cards by polling day May 22nd, 2013 this may not be possible.

Electors should be aware that this does not mean that they cannot vote.  All electors who are not able to obtain an electors registration card by May 10th, 2013 are urged to present to the polling officers at the polling stations some form of photo ID, for example a drivers license or passport.  Even expired electors registration cards are acceptable.
