911 and Hazard Management Cayman Islands (HMCI) received reports from residents of George Town and Bodden Town who felt earthquake tremors at around 10.40 am on Tuesday morning.

The event was mild and of short duration, and has not yet registered on the USGS website or on HMCI seismographs. No damage has been reported. HMCI will provide additional details once they become available.
