Drugs Recovered near Prospect Point Wed Oct 28
On Wednesday, 28 October, around 10:20AM, a member of the public discovered twenty-five packages of what appeared to be drugs along the shore in the vicinity of Prospect Cemetery. Uniform police responded to the area, and an extensive search of the area was launched by the Joint Marine Unit as well as the Air Operations Unit. No further packages were found.
The recovered packages contained twenty-five kilograms of a white powdery substance resembling cocaine. All of the packages were destroyed this morning.
The RCIPS would like to thank the member of the public who discovered the packages for promptly notifying police.
