Drug Court aided by Rotary Sunrise

DRC DonationFor many years, Rotary Sunrise has been a strong supporter for the Cayman Islands Drug Rehabilitation Court (DRC). The club has assisted with funding of the programme and certificates that are awarded to the participants as they progress through the stages of rehabilitation.

Ms. Katrina Watler, Drug Rehabilitation Officer for the Drug Court accepted the most recent check for CI$1,500 from the Rotary Sunrise club.

A representative from the club had this to say, “The Drug Rehabilitation Court needs sponsors to ensure the continued success of the programme for those participants who need it. Rotary Sunrise values its partnership with the Drug Court as we can see how valuable this programme is to the lives of those it affects.”

Back in March 2012 the Drug Rehabilitation Court graduated nine people from their programme and Rotary Sunrise was presented with a certificate of appreciation for their generous sponsorship of awards and incentives to the programme.
