Doctor from Cayman University joins Augusta Health, Virginia USA

Augusta Health Primary Care announced on Monday that Gin Lou, a family physician, will join the Fishersville practice.

After graduating from the Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Lou received her Doctor of Medicine from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman. She completed her family medicine residency in Schenectady, New York.

While in training, she was Chief Resident and volunteered with the local schools, the City Mission and the Columbia County Department of Health.

She’s worked as a researcher for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, as well as in an urgent care center. A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association, Lou specializes in gynecology, pediatrics, preventive medicine, asthma treatment, diabetes, thyroid disease and hypertension.

In her free time, Lou enjoys playing the piano and flute, tennis, traveling, shopping and watching movies. Augusta Health Primary Care is located at 53 South Medical Park Drive, across Goose Creek Road from the main Augusta Health complex.
