Cayman Islands: CIEF hosts world dressage challenge

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Cayman Islands Equestrian Federation (CIEF) will host the annual FEI World Dressage Challenge on Wednesday 11th March at 2 p.m. at the Equestrian Center on Linford Pierson Highway.

This annual competition is the most prestigious event for the CIEF as two international level judges are sent to judge Cayman’s riders. The CIEF will be welcoming back judges Mr. Mariano Santos of Spain and Ms. Elke Egbert of Germany. Both have judged the competition in previous OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAyears.

The competition was created by the FEI for developing countries in the equestrian sport to give riders a taste of international competition. Local riders will be competing against riders in Zone 10, which include Barbados, Bermuda, Haiti, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. A team of 4 will be selected pre-competition from each country with the top 3 scores added together to create the final country scores.
