Choose Life Pledge shirt left on mountain’s peak

Rem ZacZak Quappe was a Certified Flight Instructor at Cayman Flying Club. One of his friends was Jeff Glashan, a pilot of the Flying Club.

Zak died in a horrific car crash recently. He was the son of local musicians, Chuck and Barry Quappe, who started a campaign to encourage Zak’s friends to pledge to choose life and to always be there for one another. Zak had always been there for them.

The Choose Life pledge his friends took is shown by them wearing a red shirt that bears the words “Zak’s Security” on the back. Red was Zak’s favourite colour.

In honour of Zak, Jeff climbed the highest mountain in Colorado wearing one of the red shirts and carrying another. He left that one on the mountain peak.
