Cayman: Police investigate report of shots fired in George Town, one man injured,

At about 12:10AM today, 20 December, officers from the Firearms Response Unit were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report that shots had been fired in the vicinity of Grescott Lane in George Town.

Shortly afterwards a report was received that a man had attended the Cayman Islands Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. He remains in hospital being treated for the injury, which appears to be non-life-threatening.

Officers attended the location of the report and recovered spent shell casings. The matter is currently under investigation by George Town CID and anyone with information is asked to contact 949-4222.
