Cayman: Police investigate aggravated burglary in George Town

Just before 3PM yesterday, police were dispatched to a residence located on Anne Bonny Crescent, where it was reported that an aggravated burglary had taken place.

Two masked men were interrupted while they removed a safe that was bolted down in the home using what is believed to a crow bar. The home owner was forced and locked into a room by the assailants, and soon after they fled the location in a black sedan vehicle. The victim did not report any injuries to the police.

One of the assailants was described as tall, medium built, of dark complexion, with a t-shirt covering his face. The other man was short, of dark complexion, was slim built and carrying a crowbar.

The stolen safe contained documents and other personal items. This incident is being investigated by the police and detectives are seeking information from the public that may assist with locating the assailants and the stolen properties.
