Cayman islands Postal Service

From Asendia By LA POSTE & SWISS POST

The Caymans Islands Government has closed the jurisdiction to all international flights from Sunday 22nd March 2020 to Sunday 12th April 2020, a three-week period. This measure is being taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID -19) pandemic.

As a further development, the Cayman Islands Government imposed restrictive curfew measures and required all but essential government workers to remain at home, closing all postal operations from Wednesday 25th March 2020, to be reviewed by Monday 6th April 2020.

Reasons for invoking Force Majeure:

The Cayman Islands Postal Service (CIPS) is therefore unable to process all classes of international mail from Friday 20th March 2020 until the first working day after international flights resume, Tuesday 14th April 2020.

All postal operations have been closed since Wednesday 25th March 2020.
