Cayman: Island Naturals partners with NVCO to support Children In Need through Annual Holiday Giveback

This Holiday Season, Island Naturals has partnered with Cayman’s longest-running children’s nonprofit charity, the National Children’s Voluntary Organisation (NCVO), to support children in need through their annual Holiday Giveback.

From Monday, November 27 to Sunday, December 31, Island Naturals’ Cafe and three Retail Stores, along Earth Close, will collect donations to help the NCVO provide nutritionally balanced meals to the children in their care.

“Our team at Island Naturals was incredibly moved to learn about the far-reaching work that the NCVO does to ensure that children in need receive the tools and support they require to lead fulfilling and joyful lives,” said Island Naturals’ Owner and Founder, Lindsay Allen.

Founded in 1974, the NCVO supports the care, education and well-being of children and families in need through various programmes.

These programmes include the Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home, which provides a secure, nurturing and friendly environment for children in need of care and protection, and Miss Nadine’s Preschool & Jack and Jill Nursery, which provides high-quality early childhood educational programmes to children who might otherwise be unable to access them.

“As an organisation that understands the importance of a healthy balanced diet both at our Residential Foster Home and at our Preschool, we at the NCVO, are honoured to be chosen to be the recipient of this year’s Island Naturals Holiday Giveback,” said Chair of the Board of the NCVO, Lauren Nelson.

Through their 2023 Holiday Giveback, Island Naturals aims to help raise awareness for the NCVO and their activities, in addition to helping them provide nutritionally balanced meals to the children in their care.

“With Island Naturals’ mission of making healthy living easy and accessible to everyone in Cayman, we are proud to work with our local community to help support the NCVO as they continue their fantastic work,” said Ms Allen.

“Last year, our amazing Island Naturals community raised $15,000 for Meals on Wheels, our largest donation to date, through our Holiday Giveback,” Ms Allen shared. “This year, we have set the goal of raising $20,000 for the NCVO, which would help provide over 14,000 nutritionally balanced meals for children in need.”
