[Cayman Islands win with Trinidad & Tobago]

Jamaica ended joint second alongside Barbados at the two day Caribbean Equestrian Junior Show Jumping competition which ended on the weekend at the Kingston Polo Club.

Jamaica’s two competitors – Sara Misir and Hannah Deleon – began the final leg of the championship in fourth with five points, six behind the Cayman Islands.

In the Under 16 category, Misir struggled in the opening round aboard “Hannah”, recording eight faults, while her team mate Deleon did not fair much better, having nine faults aboard “Ali Baba”.

On day two, the Jamaicans found their chemistry as Misir had a perfect round on her two attempts aboard “Stormy” and “Alex”.

Deleon had a perfect round on “Jack”, while recording 4 faults.

Jamaica finished with 21 faults overall to collect five points for  an overall 10 points, two less than joint champions Cayman Islands and Trinidad & Tobago.
