SAVE THE DATES FOR CAYFEST 2020!

Cayfest, the Cayman Islands National Festival of Arts, is our annual celebration which showcases the cultural diversity and artistic talent that exists in the Cayman Islands community.

Read on to learn more about our three signature Cayfest events and how you can get involved!

Red Sky at Night | Saturday 29 February | 4pm – midnight
The anchor event for Cayfest, Red Sky at Night, is a favourite of participants and attendees alike. Each year patrons are treated to live performances from musicians, dancers, actors and storytellers, as well as displays of creative work by visual artists and artisans, all on the grounds of the F.J. Harquail Cultural Centre. Visitors revel in a sensory filled experience at this multi–disciplined arts fair, as the sounds of steel pan, fiddle and drums, and the aroma of mouthwatering local culinary delicacies waft on the night air.

Calling all artists and artisans!
Vendor registration is now open for Red Sky at Night on Saturday 29 February.
All local artists and artisans are invited to promote, sell or display their work.
Artists and artisans that sign up before Jan 10th will receive a 50% discount on their booth.

Audition to perform at Red Sky at Night
Come out and audition to appear on one of the many stages located throughout the event!
Whether it is dancing, acting, storytelling, singing or whatever your performing talent, we hope you will come out and show us your skills!
Auditions will be held at the Harquail Theatre on Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 January.

The 26th Annual National Arts and Culture Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 20 February 2020.
This gala event recognises those who attain a level of merit in their artistic discipline, and who contribute to the arts, culture and heritage of the Cayman Islands.
Awards are also presented for Volunteer of the Year, Sponsor of the Year and the Chairman’s Award for outstanding long-term support of CNCF’s work.
Stay tuned to our social media for more details of this year’s awardees.

Save the date for our annual ‘dress up, dress down’ fundraiser.
Each year schools, businesses and individuals across the Cayman Islands are invited to get creative and display their homeland pride and cultural attire on one day.
Apart from raising cultural awareness and celebrating diversity, the monies collected via donations from the participants in Dress for Culture Day are allocated to various Youth at Arts youth programmes.
