C4CCoalition for Cayman urges Legislative Assembly to honour the will of Caymanian voters.

Calls for immediate implementation of One Man, One Vote form of representation

Grand Cayman – January 21, 2013 – Coalition for Cayman, a public awareness and advocacy group, today called on the Members of the Legislative Assembly to honour the results of last summer’s One Man, One Vote referendum. The majority of the voters who participated in the democratic process on18 July 2012 showed support for OMOV and 5/6 districts voted in favour of OMOV.

“Caymanian voters have done their part by approving One Man, One Vote by an overwhelming 65%. We urge the MLA’s to honour our democracy, respect the will of our citizens and put country first by immediately implementing this mandate by Caymanian voters,” stated the Coalition for Cayman.

“We call on each and every MLA to publicly state their position on One Man, One Vote.
