Ambulances could be a problem for CONCACAF tournament

image Bruce Blake, Cayman Islands Football Association Vice-President, at a press briefing last Thursday (11) said ambulances could be a problem.

Blake is one of the members of the organising committee for the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Under-15 Development Tournament set to be held in Grand Cayman from 13th to the 25th August.

It is a CONCACAF requirement for an ambulance to be present at each of the three stadiums, Ed Bush Field, The Annex and the Truman Bodden Sports Complex. that will host games.U15Logo

Grand Cayman, however, does not have enough ambulances so reasonable alternatives, e.g. fire emergency personnel being present at the games, is being considered.

It is not just ambulances that is a problem. It extends to other areas in the medical field. Massaging tables, doctors, nurses, etc., CONCACAF requirements are very strict, and the organisers here are having trouble in meeting them. Blake said the committee may have to look off island.
