Honeymoon- Disney Cruise Line Part 3: Grand Cayman!!

Posted on December 19, 2012by alisueonthemove

Our first port day was at Grand Cayman, and it was perfect weather! While we were planning this cruise we pre signed up for adventures at each port, our original Grand Cayman adventure was the Kittiwake Shipwreck & Artificial Reef but not enough people signed up so it got cancelled. We were really sad, but instead got on an another snorkel trip to a different shipwreck to the Callie and a real reef. Now for those of you who know me, I can’t swim in water over my head. Freaks me out like NO tomorrow, but Jrod said not to worry there would be life jackets and that is how I agreed to go on this one.

One of the best parts was that we went to TWO places and had 45 mins at each stop, the first stop as you can see from the pictures above is parts of old ships but mostly a reef with fish. The second stop was the shipwreck Callie which we learned from our Captain it is the only ship that was sunk by it’s cargo which was rice that got wet in a hurricane and blew the hull apart.

After we got off the boat we went to a local restaurant that our Captain and crew told us to go to. They were going there that night which is always a bonus if the locals go to it.

That was our Grand Cayman Adventure, and we both got shirts. I have already been wearing mine because it is so comfy! What is your favorite thing to do in Grand Cayman?
