2022 CIMPA Awards recognise the best of the best in Cayman’s marketing Industry

Cayman’s best brands, marketing campaigns, and industry professionals were honoured at the Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association’s CIMPA 2022 Awards gala, which took place on Friday, June 24th, at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort. The event brought together the island’s leading creators and providers for an unforgettable night of industry networking and celebration of local marketing excellence.

The 7th annual CIMPA Awards recognised some of the best local marketing campaigns from 2021 and celebrated the creativity, resilience, and talent of the Islands’ marketing teams and individuals.

“One of my favourite things about the CIMPA Awards is having the opportunity to see everyone come together and celebrate how our local marketing professionals continue to raise the bar year after year.” Natalie Porter, CIMPA Chair, said.

“It was another strong year for submissions with just under 50 entries across the 9 categories that were recognised at the gala event. The winners should be very proud of themselves.”

The winners of the 2022 CIMPA Awards were:

Brand of the Year – Cayman Islands Restaurant Month by Tower for the Cayman Islands Tourism Association

Website/App of the Year – Zest Meals (www.zestmeals.ky) by AirVu Media

Video of the Year – “There’s no place like home for the holidays” by Tower for Health City Cayman Islands

Campaign of the Year – Plantana Staycations by Lustic Media

Community Impact Award – Ready to Reopen by Tower

Rising Star of the Year – Jayda Powery, Lustic Media

Creative Professional of the Year – Delano Myers, AirVu Media

Marketer of the Year – Lucy Taylor, The Westin

Agency of the Year – AirVu Media

The coveted Marketer of the Year award went to Lucy Taylor, Marketing Manager at The Westin Resort.

“I was honoured to be shortlisted alongside such strong candidates for Marketer of the Year. I am truly delighted to have won, and I am so grateful for the continuous support from our leadership, management, and operations team at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa.” Ms. Taylor said.

The association’s annual conference will take place on October 6th – 7th and will feature a well-credentialed line-up of international speakers, networking opportunities, and engaging experiences to inspire the industry’s creatives.

“The CIMPA Conference is a must for any marketing professional and will leave you inspired and clued up with the latest global intelligence on all things marketing.” Ms. Porter said.

“This year’s theme will explore the question “How can marketing make the world a better place?” she added.

“We’ll be looking at marketing strategies and techniques that can help us all make a difference, as well as hearing from leading industry experts on how they are paving the way. Topics will include sustainability, diversity and inclusion, purpose-driven brands, storytelling strategies, the future of digital, and how we can measure the ROI of purpose. I can’t wait to see how our local marketers will take away what they have learned and put it into action to make an impact in our own community.”
